Update Week of December 6, 2010

Hello,

Lock Down Drill
I wanted to let everyone know that today (12.7.10) we conducted an Emergency School Lock Down Drill. Like any other emergency drill; fire, tornado, etc it's very important to practice the drill.

For some students this can be a scary process and they may want to visit with you at home about the drill. A letter was sent home with each student today explaining the drill process. If you have any questions about the drill, please contact me.

School Mailing
This week you should have received in the mail a copy of your child's Trimester 1 Report Card, ITBS results, and a letter for 6th and 8th grade parents explaining the Iowa Youth Survey. If you did not receive this information in the mail, please contact me.

An updated list of the activities in our school this week is below.
  • December 7, 7/8 Wrestling @ Mount Vernon, 4:15 pm
  • December 8, Early Dismissal
  • December 9, 7/8 Girls Basketball vs. Vinton/Shellsburg, 7th away/8th home, 4;15 pm
  • December 10, CCAMS Dance, 7-10 pm
