Update, Week of October 25, 2010

Hello,

Another beautiful Monday! It sounds like things may cool off a bit this week though and the strong winds are also in the forecast. In any case, for October 25th, so far so good weather wise.

This week we will be busy finishing up full battery and make-up testing for ITBS. Hopefully by the end of the week all of our testing will be complete. We have set goals for math, reading, and science. Ask your child what the goals are.

Last Friday afternoon from 1:00 until the end of the school day, we had a surprise dance for our middle school students. The dance was just to show our appreciation for the hard work and positive attitude our students have shown throughout the start of the school year. We also had opportunities for our students to shoot baskets in the gym or spend sometime on a laptop computer in the lunchroom. The student council provided popcorn and bottles of water for the students.

This coming Friday we will have our first official school dance of the school year. The dance will be held in our gym and will go from 7 PM until 10 PM.
